Keep your chin up. All this frustrqation that you are feeling will all go away once you get to drive it hard.

You can probably save a few hundred and look for a used PFC. I've seen some recent posts from guys who ahve bought them for $700-800.00

You'll have it before you know it. I didn't think I'd ever get mine together either, but I drove it to work today for the first time.

power fc doesn't cost that much anymore, check around in the 3rd gen for sale section or ebay.

what do you have that has to force you to get a PFC?

i mean why dont you just get a piggyback ecu for now so you can drive it, then save up and get the PFC..

If you are upset already, I'm not sure if this is the right car for you. How old are you?

what i'm upset about is that he didn't tell me up front about it. In fact, a lot has to be done on "his word" but i wanted this thing bone stock. Well.. he's lending me his AEM/EMS system till i have enough for a PFC. he quoted me 1100 OTD tuned w/ the PFC from his buddy at XS engineering.

What are your mods?

Look at it on the bright side... you figured out you need ecu + tune before you decided to run the car hard.

Needing ecu+ tune is better than nedding ecu + tune+ new engine.

hey, don't feel bad dood..
My car's currently grounded in my garage. My neighbours would probly think 'oh..just another **** engine FD' with the exterior damage, interior scratches, crazy backfiring, clunking, and the list goes on.
I haven't even 'modified' the car yet but it has cost me my arms , legs and brain.
But I still have my faith on the FD. Once I respray the car and get everything fixed. She'll be the Queen of the damned

So considering your situation....i think you're still lucky
