sure something has been written down before but in that sense no one should need any schooling cause I'm sure what you are looking for has been written down before.

Those that Know, come accustom to terms and knowledge thinking everyone should know. PFC, FD, FC, PFS, EFINI, BAR, PSI, AFR. If you going to drill someone for not knowing how to search you think they feel comfortable asking you to translate it.
I do know what the above terms mean But I understand the issue because I tutor young children.
Read the FAQ for 3rd Gen (FAQ = Frequently Asked Questions) , there should be a link to it in my signature line. Towards the bottom, there are a lot of rx7club-specific acronyms with explanations. One could literally spend a week reading nothing but that FAQ thread and all the content that it links to.

I doubt it. Especially if you posted a photo of yourself... j/k This isn't the RX-7 dating forum...

Then all you would've needed to do was search on that "technical vocab" to find out what it meant...

Here's the problem with people who don't take the time to honestly search and try to find the answer to a question like "what's the best BOV" on their own: they expect to be spoon-fed information without wanting to know the reason why. It's called basic research. If you simply take the word of one or two people you speak to in person on how to do a rebuild, how do you know that they're not giving you incorrect advice, especially on something that you're going to be spending a ton of your hard-earned money on? Sure, you can teach someone by just spoon-feeding them information, but on something that is technical in nature, if they don't know the reason why something works the way it does, how are they ever going to learn anything? And how will they know if someone is telling them BS?

Say for instance that you watch those commercials that used to show the miracle oil additive that let the engines run on with no oil in the crankcase. Then some guy from a shop says, "yeah, that stuff really works." So based upon those two sources, this type of logic would have you run the engine out of oil after adding this miracle additive. Your engine locks solid, because you didn't do any research to find out how a basic engine actually works...

Teaching someone means showing them how to get the information they need by practicing some initiative and searching around to find out a little for themselves. That is why there's something called "homework" where the teachers want you to find the info on your own...

AMEN

i sat and looked forever on how these people on here can have 5000 , 7000, 9000 posts i know now the first 200 posts are asking questions the next thousands of them are just giving up on trying to get real answers and just being bombarded with put downs
"do a search"s and "newbie, newbie, newbie" posts .

when they realize that the only thing they can talk about without getting all those "put downs" is to "join the gang" and just "go with the flow".
