custom pfc commander holder (my cheapest mod)

heres some pics of my lil project, i decided that i dint need to spend $ 40 for a commander holder so i made my own

install time 10 min !!!! very easy mod

heres some pix for ya fellas

why pay $40 when u can do it urself for $5

BTW - did you do something with your mileage and trip screen in the gauge cluster. Its definately blue in your picture and mine is definately not blue.

Looks good, nice easy to view. I just used a cell phone holder that clips to the vents. It works pretty well.

I made one even cheaper than that. I used a cigarette lighter from a 323 GTX parts car and sanded the top of it flat (free). I then used a piece of plastic that was used to hang a socket on the shelves at Advance and JB welded it to the cigarette lighter. Then I put some velcro on there like you did. It was real ghetto. I only used it until I got a real holder from gotham.

awesome i especially like how the commander is in plain view instead of on the other side of the radio where you have to look over. some black krylon will do wonders and make it blend with the dash better.

you know if you wanted to get fancy you could probably illuminate the plexiglass from behind with some color bulbs to give it a cool glow since you have the power source right there. a little rice...maybe, but just a thought.
