Custom Length Spark Plug Wires

I am trying to relocate my ignition coils out from on the block. I still want to keep cruise, so I am thinking where the battery use to be, or somewhere around there. I have been reading on the forum about custom length plug wires and ran into a lot of dead links & old info. It seems like going with a wire kit & crimping the ends yourself is the way to go.... knowing me I would probably screw them up & dont you need a crimp tool? also are they just as reliable as wires premade? Another option was 2nd gen plug wires? People say they seem to work for the cruise location, but I dont know how long they are, or if they will reach to where the battery was. Anyone else done this? Pics would be sweet too.

Thanks guys,
Chris

FC plug wires are quite long. The leading coil on the FC is by the battery, and the trailing coil is where the cruise is on an FD.

You can make your own, but you really need a GOOD crimping tool to do the job right. You could totally get a set of plug wires for the cost of making them and buying the tool. If you want some to experiment with, get some FC plug wires from the junkyard or from the 2nd gen FS forum for cheap. That will give you an idea.

Thanks guys, I guess I will look for a trashed pair of 2nd gen wires first. If that doesn't work maybe Ill find out the length I need & contact magnacore.

I was hoping to add this onto my huge summit order but I guess it can wait.
