Could I put a glass moonroof on a '93???

Simple question. Can this be done? Is it as simple as removing the sunroof and inserting the moonroof?
Thanks guys!

Since they are the same size, and work the same, you should be able to do it with no problems.

Wouldn't you have to find a piece of glass with the same curves as the FD roof? Is there such a thing?

Not sure what your saying ? ? ?

The only model to come with a "moon roof" (glass panel) was the 94 touring. Other people have put them in 93 and 95's but they found them from some where else and installed them. If your lucky you can still get them from the dealer (very pricey) and luckier yet if you can find one used for a reasonable price (generally around $400) When I say 94 touring that means only the US models as they may have been on other years in other countries. Oh. I had no idea they offered a moonroof in 94. That would definately be a cool upgrade if you had the extra dough.

Just wonderin: Is the glass one only a "moonroof"? Does it retract the same as the sunroof or am I mistaken?

Thanks guys, I'm pretty sure the 93 roof is compatible with the 94 glass, just wanted to see if anybodys done that.
And yes, a moonroof is glass, sunroof is metal, they both slide back and have the same functionality.

now if I can only find a moonroof...

It's exactly the same as the metal sun roof (just glass) and opens and closes just like the metal one.
