This could be bad
I was having a crappy day, so i decided to brighten it id go sit in my rx and turn it on for a bit, when i turned it on the idle shot up to about 2,500 and stayed there til i turned the car off, then as i was sitting in the car, and the turbo timer was still on it dropped down to about a normal 1,100 or so, but then as it was idling ,it was shaking. i could feel the shakes from the cockpit, i dont know what it was, it wasnt making any noises, except from my exhaust, but it was just shaking, can i get some help on what that can be, i still think i want my engine rebuilt.
p.s. my tank was on empty and my dad drove it around the block and went to go put gas in it, then i forgot and i questioned him on what kind and he said 87 i was just wondering how bad that can be for my engine, and if that can be the cause of the shaking
Thanks

87? ewwww. I remember someones girlfriend awhile ago "accidently" put 87 in her boyfriends FD. They suggested try not to boost over 5lbs until the gas it all out I believe. And I'm not sure if they said to add oc. booster.
Try doing a search on that, maybe type....eh **** it I just did the search for you

As for the rest, has your car been shaking forever?

Even with our car's crappy mileage, it's gonna take a while to use up all the gas with only 5 lbs of boost to use... I'd say go to a Pep Boys or Kragen and get a siphon.
The only octane booster that I KNOW makes a diff is toluene

When I got my car back in Feb. of 02 it was wrecked. It sat in my garage for almost 6 months till I could find a front clip for it, when I did I got the running in like 2 weeks. After it was running I was wondering what to do with the gas cause it had been sitting in the tank for a year that I knew of. I was gonna drive it out but that would have taken to long, cause it was full. So after it got done raining real hard I pulled it half way up into the grass and half on the street, and over a sewage drain. Unbloted the drain bolt on the gas tank and let it drain into the sewage, I was hoping the rain would delute it enough so that it wouldn't blow the damn block up if it were to catch fire. Then I just filled up my 10 gal. gas tank ran to the gas station and got some 105 unleaded gas, filled it up and went back and filled the rest of the tank up with some more 105. Been running strong since.
