Cost of Chrome Plating?

We really like the look of a chromed UIM and other such bling.

Just curious, how much it costs to have the UIM chromed and if there are any risks to watch out for.

Also any recommendations for who to do it in
Central Florida?

thanks for any help.

some chromers will hit you for $5-$7a inch. chrome is a better way to go over polishing because you dont have to mind it as often and its easy to keep its luster but to get that good chrome your going to need the polishing to be there first.

you could polish them out then dip them in a sealent that will hold off the oxidizing for a bit (maby a year) but sooner then later the polish will loose its pop you fell in love with where chrome will hold it for years.

there are no risk to worry about with chrome if its done in the rite steps for alum.

im sure there are afew chromers in Central Florida

if I remember correctly, GoodfellaFD3S has/had a contact that either did polishing or a chrome ceramic coating. It looked nice, and if it's a ceramic coating, it's a bit of a thermal barrier to help keep the intake charge separated from the heat of the engine bay.
