Lightbulb Coolent seals or are my turbos gone you be the judge

-Engine has 700 miles on fresh rebuild (runs great) still starts good

-Stock turbos have 150,000 miles on them (never smoke in there life)

I'm hitting 13 psi on full non-seq...

My car started last night after I hit full boost for about a secound to blow white smoke out the exhaust enough to make a rain cloud. I'm also using oil. I drove my today 20 mile to my shop and didnt hit over "0"psi the whole time and no white smoke. When I got there I dicided to take it down the street and do a 7 psi pull. It started to smoke bad again.I used alot of coolent in thoes 20 miles also like 9 fluid ounces

So turbo's or engine coolent seals is the question...

If it only smokes when you get into the boost, wouldn't that lead you to believe it's the turbos? There should be coolant running through them all the time though, maybe it's only hot enough to burn off that quick when they're spooling?

So ur saying if the turbo's( one or the other) are bad they would have coolent leaking all the time even at no boost?

I don't know for certain, but doesn't coolant circulate through the turbos all the time? (expert please help!)

All I'm saying is if there is a turbo coolant leak, it would make sense that it only smokes when you get into the boost, because they get significantly hotter when there creating boost, which would burn it off and make smoke.

when my turbos went they made me smoke all the time, even at idle. I believe that was just oil though.

It is highly unlikely that the coolant is coming from the turbos. The coolant passages don't have any seals to go bad nor do they come into contact with the shaft.

No... I use all Mazda parts in my rebuild, I called haynes today to find out some info and prices for there teflon O-rings. There $100 and he said I might have warped rotor housings. THe guy I talked to (Don) was nice on the phone and seem knowageable.

I'm half way done pulling my engine again

On my rebuild I waiting for at least 1000 miles to breakin the new motor before I started getting on it. Also I changed the oil after the 1000 miles. They should have told you this when you picked up the car.
