coolant seal blown fix--help

ok so im pretty sure that my coolant seals are blown. I was looking stuff up when i cam across a temporary fix, which you use block fix to seal the seals again for a short while.

Can be seen here.

The only thing it doesn't mention is that what year you can use this on.

Since Fd's are turboed and cooled using coolant, will this ruin my turbos by doing this.

Is there any other methods of a temporary fix.

I don't believe it will harm the system, but your literally buying a few miles, might as well save the 10 bucks from the block weld and your time and spend that on a rebuild

I think the greater danger would be those products allowing you to delay repairs and the irons end up having to be replaced from corrosion.

Stay away from trying the "fix in a bottle". It makes a mess of the water jacket and when you go do a rebuild you just have more cleaning to do.

Trust me. I know. I am just cleaning up the housings on my "new" 93 as I do a rebuild. The previous owner thought he could make a quick fix and sell the car cheap without disclosing the leak. Thanks to the info on this site, my dream FD only got cheaper as I watched the bubbles appear in the AST.

Now, back to water jacket cleaning.

Cheers.
