Coolant prob..
Well my water pump was leaking.. so i got a new one and put it on. Went to start the car up.. she was flooded. so I went threw the deflooding process and when it was cranking coolant would come out the AST cap.. so i switched that. no luck. I fianlly got it to stop doing that (not sure how) but when it did start up the main rad hose was rock hard and it seemed as if the coolant was "to" presurerized if that possbile and the temps got up to about 220 and i shut her off.. so if anyone has any ideas on whats going on PLEASE let me know thanks ALOT

why dont you start off by listing your mods so we can get some thoughts, what do you mean the rad hose was rock hard? Is your car parked outside? If so you may have frozen coolant in yout hoses and engine block. you need to be cautious of this situation cuz the frozen coolant can cause your block to crack or even warp during heat up process.

Sounds to me like you didn't have all the air purged out of the system. Remember that putting coolant back into an FD isn't just a 'dump and go' procedure, you must "burp" the system repeatedly as you fill it by squeezing the lower radiator hose. I think you are just low on coolant. Check the level in the filler neck, NOT the AST, add if necessary to bring it up to the top. Burp and repeat until no air burps out.

First of all, make sure you are filling the car via the filler, NOT the AST. Just add your coolant until it comes to the top of the filler (car is OFF, by the way) then burp the system. Usually big *** pockets of air get trapped. The FD is unique in this, at least from all the cars I have had.
Just keep burping and filliing until it quits bubbling of air.
Start the car and run briefly, check the filler cap for air, put the cap on and run for a while.
IF you still have problems with the car overheating really quickly, I wonder about your water pump/thermostat installation.
