Coolant Leak

Well at first it was leaking around the water pump.....so i replaced the water pump. No leak there any more.....now it appears as if its leaking between the Alternator and Thermostat housing/neck just behind there. I'm going ot check to see if its the coolant hose that runs between there.....any other suggestions?

Yeah, most likely the coolant return hose from the turbo. VERY common culprit.

Something else that usually happens when replacing the water pump is the gasket between the water pump housing and the front cover tears and will generally leake. WIll be right under the ALt and hard to pin point source of leake. Pressure testing the system will allow ease of locating without the engine compartment heat. The reason I mention this is 1.) it happened to me. 2.) the turbo hose doesn't usually get disturbed when replacing the water pump. There are pictures where another forum member went through the same thing. JAck

Here is the area the gasket fails at when th water pump is replaced.
I didn't circle where the gasket tears, and there is also a thin metal spacer that can drop out and goes where the drawing denotes.
