Coolant Alarm

Ok so I've just done a rebuild and I'm trying to get the issues sorted out. Ive got my add coolant alarm going off non stop. I've checked and know there isn't air in the system or anything else. even when i ground the wire on the harness side the alarm continues. is there any way to remove the coolant alarm altogether until i can remove the harness and find the issue in the wiring? or where does it go in from the harness? tried finding the wire by the ecu (adaptronic) and can't.

kind of an urgent thing because I'm headed out of town and planned to take this car haha.

you can disconnect the sensor which is screwed into the front side of the thermostat housings.

That sensor has a ground wire that connects to the engine harness on the back side the power steering pump (in that area i think).

Did you plug in the black spade connector on the engine harness behind the alternator into the corresponding connector on the alternator/battery/starter harness?

Little bit of work, but yes...

Pull out the F100/CPU II/hazard control box, on my jdm FD is right near driver right foot, take the box apart, and you'll seen one little round black 'buzzer' its the one making the noise, de solder it and you are done.

Be warned on a JDM car that same speaker does the buzzing if you leave your lights on...

J.

Ok so i found the black box and just unplugged it which was awesome! shuts off the alarm without having to break any solders or anything like that. only issue is it kills my fog lights and my power windows. ill have to find out which wire is the coolant alarm and just clip that one for now i suppose. anyone know which it would be off the top of their head? just to save time from searching wiring diagrams.

The wire from the sensor runs several inches THEN plugs into another single wire plug. On ours, that connection was the issue. One of the plastic connectors had pretty much disintegrated, took it apart, tightened the connector and plugged it back in for a solid connection Voila! no more buzzer.
