continuity to ground

Can someone explain this to me because I just want to confirm what i`m thinking is correct.

What is meant by this statement:


Another issue I had was there is a ground circuit for
the sensors...the wire color code is brown with black
tracer...make sure that wire has continuity to ground...it
is the sensors ground wire from the auto ecu

make sure its acually grounded, im pretty sure thats it
continuity is just another word for conductive essentialy

continuity just means that it has a complete electrical path. all ground wires are black with maybe a strip or something.
