connectors on the back of the ecu

i installed a power fc about a month and a half ago and have had problems ever since with the largest connector that plugs into the ecu. before i put it in i notice the little yellow tab was bent and broken so i no longer clicks into place. well this is causing me idle problems as either the wires in that connector or the piece itself seems to be moving around and wont stay in place. so my idle gets bouncy and hard from time to time. also if i have the car on and i wiggle the ecu the car dies, so im pretty sure the problem is that connector.
my question is can i buy a replacement single yellow connector for the harness so that it fastens securely? or would i have to be a new complete harness to solve the problem?

oh and one more question. when you cut the 4 wires needed to run the pfc, is there something special you have to do with them? i wrapped them in electircal tape and let them hang. could there be some sort of interference coming from those?

along with this, if one of the wires slipped from the tape could it possibly be grounding somewhere or something and causing the problem. becuase i have the connecter taped to the ecu so it shouldnt really be moving.
im thinking that since the 4 wires i cut are floating around and possibly hitting bare metal when i turn or whatever that it is sending a signal somehow, possibly grounding when it isnt supposed to, and causing me problems. is a plausable solution to fold over the cut wires and tape them better to prevent them from touching a grounding source or whatever?

I have about three harnesses laying around...I'll cut one of the connectors off and mail it to you, if you want to send some loot or something I'll enjoy.

PM me.

say i were to get this from you, does anyone know how hard it would be to take out each wire in the old connector and plug them into the new one?

my car previously had a pfc, so when it was sold to me with the stock one in, it had male/female connectors to put the cut wires together. but when i squeeze one of the male/female connectors that i taped off, the car dies. could the cut wires still have any effect on the car?
