Connector Help...

I have managed to FUBAR my CAS (gray connector and the white connector) connectors, well the white one is ok for now but not looking good. Where would I find replacement connectors that will work? The regular crimps you find at Radio Shack are too wide and does not leave enough room for two side by side.

Also if some one could tell me if the red wire goes first or the white wire on the gray CAS connector.

Thanks

How do you get to the CAS and its connectors, do you have to take off the powersteering pump? My check engine code is giving me 2 and 3 which are for CAS, and my car cannot be started unless I jump start it. I am guess my CAS connectors are loose or wires are bad

u dont need to take off the ps pump

just take off the belts and remove the main underdrive pulley (4) 10mm nuts

and u can see (2) mm holding in the CAS

i just did this job

I'd try and find some off a bad engine harness from someone. The connectors are proprietary.

If you've got some time to kill, go to the junkyard and look through various '90s Mazdas. You might be able to find one that uses the same electrical connector - chop that connector off and splice it in.

Or, buy a whole new engine harness. Not cheap, but fixes all kinds of problems .

I have a few e-mails off to others who mentioned that they would be willing to cut those off of there old engine harness. But once I reply and offer cash no one responds back. uhmmm.

I don't want to buy a new one because of the price and I was hoping the connectors weren't proprietary. Darn, just my luck.
Thanks

Can someone please tell me if I have the red and white wires in the correct order for the Gray (my missing) CAS connector.

Thanks

Ok the two connectors seems to be fine at the CAS, where is the other end of the wiring for CAS? ECU? I can't tell which wires are for CAS to trace it back.

Go here and pick up the (Z section) wiring diagram for the 3rd gen. (3rd gen/service manuals/wiring diagram, sectionZ).
Pg z34 and z35 are what you’re looking for.

Trace the wires back from the CAS connectors to the ECU (13 x 2 yellow connector) the pins will be 4G, 4H, and 4E. There are only three wires at the ECU from the CAS because the green one (mine didn't look green) ties into the red wire. The wire colors are the same at the ECU and at the CAS.

Good Luck
