Hm. What kind of boost are you planning on running with the single, and what kind of power levels? Main downside I see to going with the single on that motor: you crack one of the used, high mileage apex seals and take out your nice new turbine......

I say go ahead and install it, that is not really any more stress than the stock twins are capable of.

Cleaning the motor with a little ATF never hurts

why use MMO?

I suggest valvoline 2 stroke tcw3 ashless for premixing and I use about 6 ounces for every 10 gallons along with my omp.

im not too sure on the decarb methods ive never done it since im on a new engine. bucket of water and a vacuum line to the uim sounds good though while revin the engine

for the oil you could dump a bunch in there and turn the engine manually and let it sit over night and do it again and then turn the engine again etc...

I use about 16oz of H20 every 3-4 months or about 2k. I attach a vacuum hose to the throttle body and rev up the engine to about 3-4k.

Note: This will clean out the carbon but it will generate alot of heat in the exhaust. The last time I did it the downpipe was glowing. The engine does run noticably smoother after a cleaning.

How exactly do you hook the vac hose up to the TB? Seems that a nipple on the UIM would be safer, no?
