NJ clutch pedal....can it be adjusted?

do the FD's have a way to adjust the clutch pedal? like make it stiffer or softer? right now mine is too soft for my liking


ive tried searched and could not find my answer

yeah. if you look behind the pedal itself you will find a rod with a lock nut. loosen the lock nut and adjust the rod in or out .

That isn't going to make it stiffer or softer.. just changes the engaging point higher or lower. The pressure you will need to put on the pedal will be the same. Best way to change stiffness is to get a stiffer pressure plate.

The only way to change the feel is with a different pressure plate.

The stiffness you feel in the clutch pedal is the springs in the clutch pressure plate. More stiffness, generally speaking, is not better. Use only as stiff of a clutch as necessary.

Those things either work or they don't age has little to do with feel. Now if you're obsessed with this, you could change the diameter of the master cylinder bore to increase or decrease pedal effort. Larger bore on the master side should increase pedal effort...

But seriously... who complains that a clutch is too easy to disengage? That's like saying you get laid too often.
