Which Clutch.....
Hey guys i have a 1994 FD pretty much stock, have intakes, catback, bov..... my clutch just went out and i need to buy a new one i do alot of daily driving but i also run my car alot i need a race clutch but also a daily driven one thanks alot my price range is no more than 1000 insalled
You could get the ACT Street/Strip Clutch although that is probably a little bit of overkill for a stock 7. Does give you flexibility if you ever do choose to add power to your setup though. Not sure what someone would charge to install it, but the clutch kit from rx7store.net is in the $500's.
I installed Exedy Stage 1 organic and like it. Bought recently from eBay for $400 shipped. My car makes around 300hp and stock clutch were slipping on 4th gear under boost.
Exedy works great for my application, pedal little stiffer. If you pretty much stock and don't plan on upgrades I would stay with stock clutch mainly because it's not as stiff. I hate when I get into traffic and have to work hard

Another vote for ACT Street/Strip
Great for daily driving. Also holds up under a good amount of power.
Plenty of threads on this subject before. Might want to check the FAQ sticky for links to past discussions.

My experience with the stock clutch is that it will not hold stock power levels once it has worn a bit. When I added a downpipe the stock clutch couldn't hold that mod, so I would definitely go to a somewhat heavier plate, +20% is probably enough for light mods.
A big advantage of an upgraded clutch is that it will last longer--that is hold longer-- thoughout its usable life span.
