Cluster Shorting... column harness problem?

Hey i'm wondering if anyone can hel me out.. i fixed up the water temp surging...
Now... sometimes driving... i noticed more of when i get to a bumpy road my cluster just quits... my water and oil top out... tach dies.. and speedo dumps.. even odometer. sometimes i'll get in the car, ignition on... everything lights up... but when i turn the engine on (like running) everythign dies. engines works fine.. but no cluster, the defrost, high beam, air bag etc lights work at the bottom, and it lights up with the headlight switch... but the gauges are dead. the other day i moved the steerign wheel left and right somewhat quickly back and forth and the needles dance as i move it. if i stop teh needles stop. if i drive after about 2 min, sometimes longer they cluster will come back up and work perfectly fine i'm wondering if anyone knows anythign like this or experienced this.. and sometiems the cluster works perfect for a day or 2. then bam does it again, changed fuse. and checked all otehr fuses.

also i did notice.. it died one time when punched it... i hit about 6,900-7100 and tach needle started dancing... then got stuck at 9k, then rest of cluster died...

i'm so confused.... i wanna fix this before i go insane... any help appreciated thanks guys.

Carlos.
