Clicking Noises behind the wheel

Has anyone had this before?

After autocrossing last weekend my car got the following symptom:

When the steering wheel is turned fully to the right, I hear clicking from the front wheel area. It only happens when the car is moving.

When I get home tonight, I am going to take both front wheels+brake rotors off and see what looks different on each side. Hopefully that will point me in the right direction. For those of you who are familiar with the suspension parts, is there anything in particular I should be looking out for?

Oh and my suspension+wheels setup is stock.

i have the same symptom i believe. i here a clicking noise at the right front wheel when i fully turn my wheel one way or the other. i usually here it when backing out. but i do occasionally here it when coming to a stop. but other than that the front suspension is solid even when driving hard.

i've had my car diagnosed at a reputable shop, and the first thing i was pointed towards to was the sway bar end links being worn out. i was quoted a price, and it shouldn't be too bad, not that major of a repair. but this is just the first area to look at, my mechanic says if the sway bar end links don't do it, it can be the control arm bushings, which = more money and more extensive.

from what i know and heard (correct me if i'm wrong) the suspension bushings are different in the front from the ones in the back. the front suspension components are "one" with the bushings, in other words you can't just replace the bushings, but you have to replace the whole control arm. again correct me if i'm wrong, this is what i remember a fellow member on this forum told me when we were talking about replacing suspension bushings and all.

hope that helps,
chris

Actually, you're talking about the front ball-joints. Those can't be replaced, you need to get a whole new arm. As far as the bushings, they all can be pressed out and replaced.

Now, as far as clicking, my FD does the same, I changed my lower and upper A-arms and bushings but I still had the same problem. What I did find is that my steering assembly is super worn out with the rack completely moving left to right everytime I move the steering wheel.

Things to check:

Tie-rods
Tie-rod ends
Bushings for the mounts for the steering rack

Haven't had a chance to take a look yet but I appreciate the replies. I'll post what I find out.
