check this scammer out

this guy had on Autotrader a 95 RX7 for $3500.so i emailed him,his email addy was Chan1nBallanc3@aol.com.

i wrote this to him on 6/13

is there a # i can call u at.im interested in he RX7

i got this email today from him

Sorry for the delay,

First of all i must tell you that i will close this deal only trough eBay Motors. Hope you understand that is the most safety purchasing system. If you are interested in my 1995 Mazda RX-7 Coupe Manual transmission, the car has 69000 original miles, you should know that it has never been wrecked or damaged, the car is in excellent condition. All the manuals, clear title and the original documentation come along with the car. Regarding the payment I am aware of the buyer's protection and we will use Ebay's motors vehicle purchase protection program which will hold the payment until you receive the car. You'll need to make a payment total amount of $3500, It has a clear title and it will be signed and notarized on your name as soon as the payment will be completed.

The car is located in Camas WA.

Some details and options:

Year: 1995

Mileage: 69000

Color: Blue

Transmission: Manual

Cylinders: Rotary Engine

There is no previous collision damage to this vehicle. The car is in great condition inside, outside and mechanically. the interior of the car is free of cracks, rips, tears or any other damage. The vehicle's undercarriage is free of rust, leaks, or mechanical damage. The vehicle's electric is working perfectly.

Thank you,

Chanin Ballance

hes talking about ebay motors when i found the clown on AT.
so i wrote this back to him

what if i have my friend who lives in WA come see it,and if its what u say he will pay u right there and take It right there.if this is a true sale you will not object to it

i got this reply from him

Hello again,

I am away with my job here in Honolulu, Hawaii. Before leaving I had prearranged shipping with eBay and DAS so my presence isn't necessary. The car is in a warehouse of DAS, ready for delivery. In exchange I will offer a 5 days period of testing the car from the moment you receive it from the shipping company. If you want to make this deal I will need the following details from you:

Full name and address

Shipping address

Phone #

After I will have all this details I will forward them to eBay and I will precede the order. eBay will contact you with all the details that you need to complete this deal and also to see that I am covered by them. I wait your email with the requested details.

Once again the price of the car is including the shipping.

Thank you,

Chanin Ballance

i wrote this reply and havent heard from him yet

so i can call up DAS and confirm it? if the car is really there you would have no problem for me to call them up and verify

so i thought i would share this with you guys, damb dirtbag he is

There have been other stories with the same details. Will only sell on Ebay, use DAS, so on and so forth.

My stepson was taken for $6500 in a scam like this. Never got a dime back.
I'm sure the eBay site is a fake.
Be careful.

The weird ex-English-colony idiom gives it away. I'm guessing Nigeria.

I had someone try this on me except I was selling an Xbox 360 Elite. Tried saying I would recieve payment after they recieved the item and the shipping address was in South Africa...and yes they used fake ebay links and all. So one easy way to tell on a scam like this is if there is no money in your paypal then it's a no go.

Ive noticed that an overwhelming number of scammers use aol.com email addresses.
Also you should know its instant bad news if the seller claims to be overseas (in UK for example).

i found a mint 2000 honda civic on auto trader for 2000$ just the other day as im looking for a daily driver. so i try the number and its a fax machine, i try to send a fax and it says its a phone number. so i was like what the hell,so i just emailed the person and this lady wrote back saying that she was in london and that no one there wanted it so she was gonna sell me the car inlcuding shipping for 2k$ and she wanted to do the deal through faxco (or somthing like that)..which they dont do i looked em up.
