Check out my Commander mount!
I just got finished with my mount for the Power FC commander. I used some 1/8" aluminum and made a small plate for the commander to mount to. I just trimmed the side of the radio surround so that plate will slide in and then used two 6-32 x 3/8" botton head cap screws to hold it together. What do you think?

They are actually cap screws. But are almost a dead on match of the color of the panel so they blend in very nicely. They may look a little bit shiney due to the flash from the camera. Thanks for the comments as well as the constructive criticism.

You HAD to of read my mind!!!!
I just asked this question in the PFC section. I joined the GB and was hoping to find a way to mount it on the dash. If you go ahead and make these, how much are you wanting to get for them?

Dr Wankel,
looks very nice, but are there any alternatives to bolting it to the console trim? I'm sure that alot of people would like the option to bring the car back to stock looking. If I can remember correctly there is a smalll lip behind that trim piece that could be used to bolt to. Maybe a less permanent mod would appeal to more people. I would definitely buy one.

Guys,
I have decided to go ahead and make these mounts. Here is a link to another page with more pictures, as well as pricing information.

65Imp, The head unit is a JVC Kameleon unit. It is flush while turned off but when it is on the buttons flip out from the bottom.
Mach 2, There is an alternative to the screws. It would be using 2-part epoxy to bond the mount to the back of the radio surround.
