Talking check it out...

Well i'm back.....my father just found an rx-7 that had an engine fire.....i already have a beater and would be having this as a lil project . The guy is asking 4000 for it and i could prolly get it for 3500. I already did some research on here back in the day on engine costs.....but what other hidden costs could prevail?? here are some pics:

on top of the engine, the turbos, alot of little sensors and silinoids,

i did the same thing and it cost me about 5 grand, i didn't get charged for a lot of the little parts, but i also didn't do the labor, so look to spend about that much

I already see a wiring harness that needs to be replaced
Keep in mind, that unless you find a used wiring harness, an entire engine harness is about $900

It will make a good project, though

Yeah, with that car, might as well plan on going single turbo and Haltech...all those darn little solenoids and vacuum hoses are going to be a pain. The fenders/hood/bumper...those can be fixed or replaced at least though...

yep like jspec said I would only buy it if I was planning on going single turbo with a haltech, that away you don't have to worry about harness, solinoids, etc..
