Chargecooler
i've read about them, and all them have been used on a piston engine. it stops the pre-ignition of the air/petrol mixture in the cylinders. supposedly cools air down in less than a second
I can understand the logic in it ,water would dissapate heat a lot quicker than air and the biggest benefit would be low speeds aswell as standing still.
could make one out of the stock IC.

chargecooler same thing as air to liquid IC?
hannah, all intercoolers "stops the pre-ignition of the air/petrol mixture in the cylinders"
predetonation = preignition...knock, etc
youve probably heard people say pre-detonation more often than pre-ignition. and the "air/petrol mixture" youve probably heard more commonly refered to as air/fuel mixture......its all the same thing, but how you say it makes you sound smarter i suppose...
if it is simply an air to liquid IC then there is at least one FD i know running the "typical" mods, but with an air to liquid IC instead of the typical air to air type...
