AC removal=car not starting?
hey everyone so here are the things iv done ...
car is a 93 FD rhd ,completely stock under the bonnet
first time removing my AC , i searched thread upon thread and all i could find out about the removal process were different belt sizes and guys were just saying see where all the lines go and start from there. and since my AC was not working in the first place ( needed to be recharged/ i never use it, canada is cold enough) i decided to remove it.
i started with the condenser and worked my way through the lines unbolting where the budded lines went and so forth ,the compressor was the last thing i removed , near the chargecooler there was a wire coming out from the harness that went into a plug that went into one freon line shown here.

i cut that wire but kept the plug plugged in for reasons on that i didnt want to mess anything up with wiring etc.. i also cut the wire that goes to the compressor , i believe that, that is a thermostat sensors and a ground at the end shown here.

so i connected a new wire and spliced it in with the wire for the thermostat and put a ground piece on the end , put everything back the way it was and the car does not start....turns over , gets fuel from the smell of it but does not start , i think i may have flooded it by accident so im waiting till tomorrow to see if that was the case.
the battery is good new belt and tension is good ,nothing else changed , the car was driving working fine prior to the AC coming out,
please let me know from what i have explained if i did anything wrong through the removal process , everything seemed pretty straight forward but maybe i missed a step or two with ground wiring etc. any help or info would be great

basically this ^
I would personally throw some heat shrink around the ends of the cut wires to prevent shorts, but thats just me, as long as you took your time and were thorough about it i can see no reason from the description or the pictures you provided that anything was done incorrectly to cause a no start. De-flood and get back to us if its still not working, otherwise rock on dude

so turns out that was a bit of a dummy and flooded the car, my good friend ken wagen came over and we went right to work on D-flooding , disconnected the EGI fuse for the fuel pump and pulled all the plugs out , turned the engine over to get all the excess fuel out . after cleaning off all the plugs i put the top two in and then put a little oil in the bottom before inserting the bottom plugs then hooked everything back up and sprayed down down the butterfly with some starter spray and she fired right up!!! along with a lot...A LOT of smoke to follow , my condo neighbours thought the block was burning down at one point lol
ya for sure ill sell it , it needs to be recharged tho since there was no freon left in it, compressor and all worked fine just no cold air coming from it. i would think you could just get a re-charge tho
PM me for your address and well discuss pricing and all if youd like
