Water/Air intercooler

So im looking for water/air i/c solutions for my FC and was at first looking at a PWR barrel type which didnt seem that much more expensive than other chargecoolers. However I checked frozenboost.com and found this kit: http://www.frozenboost.com/product_i...ae2bfbf2e248c9

So I ask you guys: what makes this kit and their cores so cheap? Is the I/C essentially an ebay special? Does anyone here have any experience with these people?

Im still leaning toward a barrel type intercooler but I can piece a kit from this site together for around $300 less than with the PWR barrel, which is pretty attractive to me.

I already know the pros and cons of water/air intercooling and im just looking for information on the cores from frozenboost.

Cheap prices

Not sure what quality these products are because I have never purchased any of their products. American made products cost a fortune. Just a example of what I paid for the large water to air intercooler on the main web page I paid $2500.00 for a unit very similar to that from Spearco. Now aluminum is aluminum and if it is cheap quality it can always be welded again if it comes apart.

Put it this way if you can save a fortune on cheap China made knock off parts I say do it. Chances are very likely these are Ebay specials just consolidated on one single site. If they sell a complete kit save yourself some time, and buy a complete kit with the pump, tank, hose, hose clamps and the mounting kit if available.

Good Luck

those cores are an ebay special. that being said, people have had quite a bit of success with ebay intercoolers. i believe the barrel style will flow considerably better than the type in that link. if you do use that kit i would go buy a different pump. also, you may want to have some sort of warning system if your ait gets to high or if you water temp gets to high

you could always buy a good core and have one fabricated.
