huh? did you replace the cat w/ something else or just... leave it off? and if you put a midpipe on and your running stock twins you should expect boost creep...

Put your main cat back on. If you don't know the effects of removing/changing something, DON'T DO IT! You need to spend some time researching this car. Any changes to the airflow must be done carefully with an FD. Besides, if you removed your main cat and didn't notice a significant power change, there is already something wrong with your car.

Please spend time learning about your car before you blow your engine, and become another person who goes around saying "what a POS RX-7s are".

Thats why Rynberg said to do some research. You would soon find out what boost creep is and what you need to do to SAFELY mod your FD. These cars are not as bulletproof as a supra or something like that where you can put an intake and exhaust on and crank the boost and not have to worry about it. There are sone careful steps that need to be taken.

Boost creep is when the stock wastegate can't hang with the increased air flow caused by modified exhaust/intake, so you get slowly increasing psi at WOT. More power, but the problem is that the stock ECU doesn't know the difference between 10 psi and 11-12 that you get when you creep, so it supplies the same amount of gas for both.. you creep too high and dont' have enough gas being supplied to your rotary and bam, it'll detonate and you'll need to rebuild.

It'll be fine as long as you're careful. Do a search for "reliability mods" and do those first. You need an aftermarket ECU or a reprogrammed stock that'll be able to keep up with the boost.

A few mods and you shouldn't have to worry. Trust me, it'd be worth it, I doubt you'll find a car as much fun to drive.
