Question Car won't start (Coils Buzzing!)

After I turn the key to the on postition and crank, there is a buzzing sound under the plenum which becomes a crackling (sparking) sound.

I just reinstalled the coils after doing a vaccum hose job and I attached the coil harness ground wire to the coil rack instead of the coil mounting bolt. Could I have fried the coil(s) if they werent grounded properly?

Before the vaccum hose job, I washed my engine (used simple green). When I started it it ran like crap (rich) and wouldn't go above 3000 rpms.
I had very low vaccum. When I did the vaccum job I noticed that the vaccum hose to the turbo control solenoid was cracked! Could the water and simple green have also shorted out the coil(s).

How do I test the coils, coil wires and spark plug wires.

I removed the Plenum and traced the buzzing sound to the BACV. Im not sure what it is and whether it would prevent my car from starting?

Its the black device that attaches to the backside of the plenum that the white plug goes to.

Does anyone know what it is and does anyone have one they would like to sell me?

I'm not sure of what you are talking about. Buzzing BACV? A relay of some kind?

Still that may not be the problem. It could be another problem elsewhere in the system that causes the buzzing.

The most basic test for the "coils, coil wires and spark plug wires" would be to test for spark, but it doesn't sound like you are even cranking.

You said that you have started it. Does it still run. Does the starter engageinstantly? Does the engine turn over normally?

Car cranks but does not turn over. Its not the ACV. Its a metal and black plastic device attached to the back of the upper manifold right behind the Double Throttle Valve. It has a white plug that goes to it. Part #N3A1 also #138200-0440 BACV. Its made by DENSO.

It buzzes and then makes a sparking noise. I don't know what it is and if it is causing my car not to turn over???

Does anyone have a Workshop Manual for a 94 RX7 that they want to sell me?
