The thing that sucks is... If they want your car that bad, they can just come with a truck and haul her away. You could install one of those alarms that sends an message to a pager that warns you that your car is being tampered with. Then you run like hell to your car and start busting heads... Maybe Lojack too...

the funny thing is, is that i have a garage. Im just thinking about getting either like a top of the line clifford alarm and or lojack. Also putting every obstable possible in their way. I mean like the people around here arent professionals. Theyre just pests but its annoying that i have to do this.

Well how are they gonna know the car even runs if it won't start, they probably won't know it's a switch so why try and push start it?

Well if you are just looking for an alarm. My friend just got one that has the pager remote. Also has remote start(works with manual trans have to turn car off a certain way for remote start to work) and turbo timer programed into the alarm and a few other things. I will try and find out the company when I talk to him next.

There is a system out that you can track the car and tell it what to do by a handheld remote or over the internet. It's basically LoJack with alot of features and cost alot more. I read about it like a year ago and I think there is a monthly service charge too.
You can tell it to kill the car, flash the highbeams, turn off the lights, flash brake lights, lock doors, pop the trunk (not in our case), etc.

If you're looking for security, I would go with quantity. Get an alarm, a club, a backup siren, auto-lock, and hide a fuel cut switch. It's not a guarantee, but it will at least keep them busy until hopefully they give up or get caught.

I'm a CF and poop smith
Auto door locks and window locks and a couple of bug bombs, all rigged to an alarm so that it will lock the guys inside the car after you start rolling without dissabling the alarm

I have had two FD's with aftermarket alarms and both ended up with electrical problems. I recommend one of those thingies that locks your clutch. If they can't move the clutch, the car is not going anywhere. Some physical booby traps like what they have around the pot fields would be fun too.

I always liked the idea of the mini-piezo siren inside the car... 'cept put it on a delayed relay.. say 30secs.
So, if the alarm goes off, you have 30 seconds until the car is filled with a 130db of pain... Just enough time for em to get in and start taking out your stereo, or try to start your car.

^ but freaking funny also. hehe for 300bucks all u need is a car that can move in and out of a driveway, very possible. u could go with the brick wall (pinto) approach but that might be overkill
