Hey guys, i own a 93 fd.. the car tends to have a rough idle, the car will shake a little bit on occassion at idle speed... The other serious problem is that in 1st gear, the cr will have power from idle to around 4000, beyond that it just gets high pitched without power. This happens throughout most of the gears, but itll sometimes have power come in on occassion in some of the gears... Any suggestions on whats wrong? i was thinking a vacuum line being loose or pinched, but wouldnt that make this a constant problem? Help!

give more details then that... Have a compression test done? Whats your boost pattern? how many miles on the car?


please tell me you have a boost guage hooked up.... from what it sounds like your secondary turbo isnt coming online like it should. anyhow give us your boost pattern.

 

Check map sencor near driverside firewall, also look for any disconnected hoes to your secondary turbo or anything not connected, or your 2nd turbo could be shot.. How many miles on engine, turbos and mods done...

 

yea it could be alot of things. any check engine lights? it may be fuel also. or the crv open is it a whining noise? during boost or any time over 4000? does it boost ok below 3500? what is the vac at idle?
