For a relay, you jump the control side of the relay (usually pin 85 and 85) together and you should hear a click and check the continuity (ohm/resistance) on the pin 87 and 30 side. But beware, even if it clicks sometimes. It might stick or have high resistance causing the system to be not functioning properly.

haha, I know exactly what you mean.
Electricity is still one of the hardest thing to diagnose in a vehicle in my opinion.
Electricity is there, but you cant see it and it's hard to describe.
But from what I remembered and taught by my professor, electricity is like water flowing down a river. It will take the less resistance route for better flow.
It also takes alot of practice and understanding of how electricity works, but once you get the grasp of it. It becomes a cake =).
I would suggest learning how to read a diagram from the very basic of a relay, then into something more complicated.

I do believe I will, I can almost 99% tell you all the mechanical systems work, but how they are powered I'm at a loss. I'm going to find the diagrams and give them a once over tonight, thanks for the advice and movtivation.
