Car just seized, discuss...
So my car just seized up, I have no idea what happened....i was driving down the road, when i hear a clicking noise, so i pushed the clutch in, motor dies
pull over, put in neutral, pushed into a parking spot
150Amp fuse on the battery box in trunk is blown, so we disconnect the battery hookups under the hood, and try to jumpstart the motor with a honda civic w/ jumper cables (civic engine was running)
i was getting 14V solid on the PFC, and when i turn the motor over, it wanted to crank, and putted for a while, but now it won't even turn over
i disconnected all the fan belts, and turned all the pulleys, the main pulley wouldn't turn
which way does it normally turn, counter clockwise or clockwise?
i couldn't turn it like i normally can.....perhaps it has built up compression?
anyone's help will be greatly appreciated....

I think you can turn ir clockwise but don't qoute me on that. I don't understand how it could have seized unless it was carbon lock up and 3rd gens aren't known for that. You think it could be flooded?

Even with compression you should be able to turn fairly
easy.
But make sure your clutch and trany is OK.
I have seen spring on disk came off and jamed between
flywheel and starter.
easy.

Wish I could help, but I have not a clue what it could be. The information you gave us was rather vague, but I understand where your coming from.

Did you see any smoke at any time?
Maybe one of your injectors failed and locked the engine. Pull the plugs and see if they are wet.
Could you have kicked an Apex seal? Damn, no idea.
Good luck.

don't race, don't need to
This happened to my FC. Broken apex seal locked the front rotor against the "pinch" in the rotor housing. I sold the car for $500.
The engine wouldn't spin at all, no matter HOW hard I tried to move it. Ouch...
