^^^^. I agree.

Those lights HAVE to go.

Depending on the price if you have money left over it could be nice. Change the lights the front bumper the wing and the wheels and it could be sweeeeeeet (depending on what you change to). IMO.

NOT.

I HATE the 70's Chevy Vega headlights, and HATE the blue stripe around the wheels. Don't love the basket handle "shogun" wing either. Other than that...

This is the sellers spec for the engine:

1994 R2, 299000 miles

Tuned by RE Amemiya. Uprated Twin Turbo’s (RE Amemiya). Ignition amp. HKS intercooler hard pipes. Water Injection system. OS Giken twin plated clutch. Uprated Oil Coolers. ARC induction kit, RX7 strut brace, uprated rear exhaust section. After market HT leads. MU brake pads. The whole system is mapped by Re Amemiya at 1.2 bar boost.

Remove the body kit, put a stock front end on it and it'll be fine. That is probably the worst front end I've ever seen on an FD.

Those head lights are the worst i've ever seen, the wing isn't horrible but i'd take it off.

1. The front end is an abomination.

2. Get some self-esteem.

3. The number of people in this thread that like the car have caused me to lose what little hope I had for our society.

Talking Thanks for your thoughts ON THE CAR

Thanks for the opinions, although I was asking for opinions on the car not me or my personality, self esteem, confidence, taste, religion or whatever.

If you READ my post, I never said I would blindly base my purchase on the results of this thread.

If you really want to know what I think, it's this... I like the sound of the engine spec. RE Amemiya tuned, water injection, high flow twins setup is pretty interesting don't you think? If the engine is solid (which I would check BEFORE buying the car) then I will probably buy it. It's close to what I would build if I bought a stocker anyway. Then change the bumper/lights and remove wing. The reason for the post was to see how much others would laugh (or not) at the car until I do the work. I don't even like the colour, that I would change to Silverstone grey a la S2000.

Again, thanks to the majority of you guys who gave your opinions ON THE CAR.

Trevor

man, I'd look to buy a car that you don't have to strip down and spend heaps of cash on. It's like people buying an auto (when they really want a manual) then trying to swap the tranny with a manual. eeek

Just wait for a better suited car to come along.

i don't think this would be bad with a couple of minor changes... and this is just my opinion!

1. get a dark cover (like the rear lights) made to put in to cover the headlights... this would make them sit nicely into the bumper cover and smooth those lines a bit in what is otherwise a nice frontend.

2. get dark covers for the indicators (or replace them with rx7store.net items) to finish up the front.

3. think about ditching the rear wing... it's not to my taste, but overall i don't think it is a shocker.

4. drive that car, that f****r is gonna MOVE if those specs are right!

IMHO

...the color matched lips are ricey, the headlights are a-la-camaro, the wing is a tad larger than a 727's, and the widebody doesn't blend well

Other than that, nice car.
