car has problems during/after dyno run, whats wrong?
Ok,
I dynoed my car today, my cars HP was way down from where it was previously, but on the last run when he let off the car just went nuts at IDLE. It backfired and then the idle was a bit uncontrollable.
Since then when I start the car hot I have no problems starting, but my vaccuum on my power FC used to be about 480, now it is around 320 or so. I can drive the car to the redline and I dont notice major loss of power and the car just feels like its hesitating a little. The only noticable issue is when the car is at IDLE.
Anyone have any idea? My first thought was I blew an apex seal, but there is no smoke, coolant loss, etc. Also, driving the car to redline is not a problem. Also, I can get full boost with my turbo.
Any ideas?

The other thing I should mention, the idle is steady around 860 RPM, but the car shakes a little. You can see the manifold shake, and you can feel it when you are at IDLE in the car.

Im sure its my engine, I went to the store and my car degraded, the car was from 100-200 on vaccuum and I notice when I shift that white smoke came from the back of the car. My car could not even make it up a hill on the way home.
oh well. Anyone want to buy a FD?

Damn man, how are you going to replace the FD? 350Z or RX-8?
I guess it's pretty definite it's a blown engine but I would wait until Tuesday to know for sure.

Sorry to hear about your engine. Just get a new one and you are back on the road. My friend Greg was at the dyno day. He had a 94 MB touring with a few bolt ons and a stock ECU. He left before you dyno'd. He didn't know you had a problem.

Thanks for the support, i really appreciate it. Im taking my car in the shop today. It seems to start in the morning and if I keep the revs above 1000 its ok.

Just get a reman from Ray at Malloy Mazda and do the work youself. It'll end up costing about $2500 total but your probably going to loose a lot more than that by selling it blown

Really, its gonna cost me about $5,000 to $5,500 to get this done. I almost killed my freakin engine a year ago after removing my stock air box (you dont want to know). So im not touchin' any part of this.
