Can't get brake springs? False!!

I don't know if this is news to just me or what. After some searching on the forum it seemed to be the general consensus that you could only get the springs with the purchase of new pads from the dealer. This is not the case and here is the proof!!

Holy ****! When I redid my brakes Ray said there was no way to get the springs without buying new pads. Since their rebuild kits don't come with new springs. I actually bought a set of pads up front and sold the pads just to get the springs. Sa-weeeet. Now I can replace the ones in the back. Woohoo!

These are the Raybestos numbers:
H15728A for the front M clips/springs/pins and H15841A for the rear V springs/guides.

yea i did mine a lil while ago but got them from rockauto.com

they're cheaper too and if you use the discount codes that are ALWAYS flying around i'm sure it'll be one of the cheapest things you can buy for an FD.

Rockauto has two different kits available....one by Raybestos(# H15728A) and one by BeckArnley(# 0841316)

I cant remember off the top of my head which one I bought, but one warning/issue I had with the hardware kit is that the pins DO NOT work. They are too short and won't work with the FD calipers. Wasn't that bad since you can just re-use your old ones.

And he's correct with respect to getting parts through Mazda.

bumping this thread because i fell into the trap of believing this to be true. went on atkins looking for them and it said in the listing that you can only get them with the purchase of the pads......

just placed an order for the springs using the raybestos part number... they are still available

Wearever, centric, stop tech, and other companies offer the hardware kits. I have noticed that sometimes the aftermarket pins don't fit 100% so usually I use the original pins and the aftermarket springs.
