Yes, look in the faq's and sticky's at the top of the 3rd gen page. It's called non sequential. Use the search too answer all your questions.

Under hard acceleration the 2nd turbo kicks in at 4500 rpm. At that point, you are using both turbos.

Do a search on non-seq. Some people like it some others don't. I had non-seq in my car. with the stock I/C I loved it but once I upgraded to a FMIC I hated it.

You get more power out of non-seq. and at the same time if something goes wrong you dont have to mess with all those damn hoses

Even the most staunch non-sequential fans admit that there is more lag with non-seq, even with full exhaust....

There are trade-offs with both setups and they have been covered ad nauseum.

as soon as your sequential system fails and it becomes difficult if not impossible to find the problem, you'll see the light. i don't believe non-seq. makes more power, but it certainly makes the car more reliable in that you never have a boost problem again without it being a fairly obvious problem. as far as lag, it's easy to change your driving habits in a car that redlines at 8000 rpms so that you can be on boost if needed most of the time.
