Type R - harder suspension
Original paint is listed as PZ - so PZ black I think.

Thanks for looking, I hope that it wasn't black originally, because it was given a kandy paint over what was certainly blue. So if it was black that's gonna cause a bit of a problem 😅

10/8/1991 would be a really really early car. Maybe even the first car.
10/8/1992 was near the end of the Version 1 run.
BTW, you are late for your next oil change. The tag says it was due May 30, 2011. Oil change at 73,000 KM and Oil filter (element) change at 78,000.
Kindly take your car back to Sakamoto Automobiles to get this corrected.

Any chance you can pop mine through there and see what pops out? It's an eaaaaaaarly car. Apologies for the *terrible* photo.

I value my bank accounts more than learning this information.
As you guessed, your car is likely a third week of January 1992 manufacture.

I presumed that by the interior code FE2, which in US and Aussie models means black leather. There are only 3 interior codes for JDM version 1 which I understand are as follows: FE2 (black), FE4 (red), FE5 (Black Recaros for RZ?). The confusing part is that there are 3 different seat part numbers for FE2, so perhaps the material did differ according to spec level even though the upholstery code on the car is the same.

From the Canadian 1993 Catalog, anyone know what the 25AE is? i kind of overdid it with the arrows...
so FD05-57-150C-02, FD05-57-150C-33 and FD05-57-150C-17, are all STC seats, leather for the touring. the colors are the difference, FE2, FE3 and FE4 respectively.
this is all probably one step more complicated than it should be

The JDM Version 1 sales brochure sets out that leather was in the Type X, "Lux-suede" in the Type R, and "fabric" in the Type S.
In JDM Version 1, at least, the Type X also came in Manual.
The parts manuals usually use "Sunroof Version" as code for the Type X deluxe equipment packages.
So when they discuss the seats "has sunroof" may imply leather without actually stating so.
The parts manual states that Type R is "sunroof nashi" (no sunroof). ergo, my thought that leather in a Type R would be unusual.
We should be mindful that Type R and Type R-1 may have been packaged differently.

Here is the configuration table from the final JDM Version 1 parts catalogue. The words below the table to the right seem to warn that the catalogue may not cover some configurations not specific to the version covered by the manuil. I note that it shows FE3 (Tan) seperately, but there is no FE3 in the table.

hmm see in that later one, FE5 is black and FE7 is red, the US colors stay the same the whole time, FE2 is always black, etc

Thanks for the clarification on the interior codes above. I forgot that you needed that extra page for upholstery options. Unfortunately, the online EPC I always use is in Ukraine as well so I had to rely on an incomplete one.
FE5 is listed in the online EPC for version 1 and it correlates to the Recaro seat, so I think that would come up as the code for the version 1 RZ (despite the paper version listing it as FE2). FE5 is the normal black code for version 2, which makes it all incredibly confusing!
