Can short shitfer kit cure the 5th gear sync problem

going to go with the the mazdaspeed short shifter and just wanted to know if it would fix my problem.

you need new syncros, you can try redline or neo tranny oil, it might reduce the grind.

If you are looking to help missing third gear a short shifter will help some, I just installed an engine torque brace myself and it sure is a lot easier to hit 3rd quickly on a upshift than before. If your synchros are already worn then there is no cure other than a rebuild..

i know short shifter reduce the shift length but do they make the overall shifting more rough? or smooth? thanks alot -Jeff

kinda notchy actually....should help slightly not to "miss" shift...if you sychos are gone...they are well...gone

quite quessing....if you have not driven with a SS...you are not qualified to answer....yes it will help some...but there is still the possibility of miss shifts..

it will make it worse... and its ruff as *****. I had mine in for about 20 mins and right back out, in the box and sold..
