Can I Plug Up the CRV?

I did the non-seq mod, so now the CRV basically acts as a second BOV. The thing is, I think it doesn't hold pressure that well. I think it opens too early.
Would capping it cause any ill affects?
I would assume that all the pressure would just go to the BOV instead of both the CRV and the BOV if I cap the CRV.
What do you guys think?

When is it opening too early? What is your max boost?
Yes you can cap it but it shouldn't be opening early. It can actually hold more boost than the bov I believe since it takes more pressure for it to open up. Unless it is broken you have another problem but I don't think they break often. Did you take off the 2" black hose going from the Charge Control Actuator to the y pipe and cap both ends where it used to go (located right under crv)?

When I forgot to do that my crv was venting all of my boost at 4000 rpms.

I totally think you should keep it for security and it's also cool to have the sound of 2 bovs together.

Good luck

I don't really know when, but I hear it blow off more than the BOV.
I've been doing a few test runs and I high I've seen have been 8psi. I rarely go WOT though. It's kinda hard to do lots of WOT runs to test unless I go to a secluded area.

I'm gonna go check that hose on the CCA you are talking about later.

I think I did remove that hose. I went according to Rikki's non-seq diagram.

did you get the midpipe on there yet?

I went to the track last night and the lowest I could get my boost was 11 psi so that's what I ran. How are you getting yours to 8?

You have to go full throttle to test it all out so find an area and do it at least through 3d maybe 4th too if you can.

Yeah I should have known it wasn't that cca because you would have known for sure. I was getting 3 psi and all I could hear was boost being released. But yeah set your boost as low as possible and do one run without capping it and then do another with it capped. I simply capped it right at the end of the crv when I was trying it since it's too hard to get all the **** off and cap it at the y pipe for just an experiment.

Yup, I got the midpipe.

Yeah, I'll do a few runs with it capped and see what's up.
Thanks.

Ah I think I know what's up now...
I just installed a home depot MBC, BUT I did not remove the Wastegate Control and Prespool Control solenoids like Rikki did. He removed those with the MBC setup. I guess I overlooked it.
Hmm.. interesting...

Rikki also removed the CRV, so I assume it's OK to cap it. Cool.
