can i add a pulley kit and keep the air pump

i was gonna get a greddy pulley kit and i read that i would have to remove the air pump. i still have a stock cat and there's no way i could use a midpipe in california so i was wondering:
1) if i could keep the air pump with the greddy pulley kit?
-if not-
2)are there any kits that allow you to keep the air pump intact?

Yes , you must put the pullies on then find the belt size you will need .The power increase is small but if you slow the water pump down it will work better and last longer. As long as the alt keeps the battery up you will do fine .

is there any reason why the alternator couldn't keep the battery powered? if anything, i figured that it would do a better job than the stock pulleys... correct me if i'm wrong here...

By any chance, has anyone done this and can help me out with the right belt size?

I've read many times on this forum that the pulleys don't really "free-up" much horse power at all, for our cars, unless you are racing the car.... Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Pulleys & Belts

I used an 'Unorthodox' set. Kept the AP and used standard belts

You can just use the Greddy kit and then go to pep-boys and buy a 4 rib belt. I'll have to check on the size for you though. We did that to MakoDhardie's car. Works great. It will at least help with the water pump cavitation.

You can also just get the TKT Power Pulley Kit from Pettit. It retains the air pump:
