I知 currently in the process of purchasing a stock 94 and wondering what specific car parts I知 looking for to pass smog. Anyone has a list they need to replace or add that would be extremely hopeful thanks!

Needs absolutely nothing. Mine came in from out of state and easily passed smog. I didn't even need a homie hookup...I just Yelped the best smog shops and picked the one with the lowest driveway.
If it's modified or is neglected that's when you will run into problems. Good main cat and functioning air pump are key. Good spark plugs and healthy ignition are also very much key.

California has a visual test too. Everything under the hood should be (or look) stock. And while downpipes are technically illegal, few technicians will notice them. But they will notice aftermarket intakes, intercoolers, ignition systems etc.
I don't know if this will apply to cars as old as ours that don't have OBDII, but beginning Monday, California will check for illegal ECU tunes, even on cars that pass the tailpipe test.

FD's are OBDI, should be totally fine. Nobody is going to go looking for your ECU. Intercoolers are allowed by smog per cali ref rules. Just don't give them reasons to go digging and you'll be fine. Maybe avoid the rolling road dyno places if possible.

no, the opposite. the California dyno test is the easiest thing in the world, its just a steady state 15mph and then 25mph. everything passes. the hard one is the stationary idle and 2500rpm test, that idle part is almost impossible
or even better something like 2/3rd of the state doesn't have emissions testing at all. it makes the whole thing wildly unfair, imo. my emissions are really bad, but if i move 80 miles away nobody cares at all?
so if moving to California, choose your address carefully

You can稚 register a grey market vehicle in California unless you perform full emissions certification from a CARB-approved test lab. So not a standard smog check test.
CA does not recognize the EPA exemption for cars 21 years old or older, unfortunately.
