Budget big brake kit

there used to be a do yourself "kit" for STI brembo calipers and EVO rotors for the 240sx.... was basically a cad drawing of the bracket need to adapt the caliper and the evo rotor mounted up if i remember correctly.

so im wondering if this has been done at all? since the cars share same bolt pattern. though not sure on the mounting difference.

i think you're going to find that people don't really do this, as the FD brakes stock are pretty damn good for a 2700lb car. these aren't exactly a 240sx with 4 lug 10" rotors and single piston calipers.

i'd say the FD owners who are at the point of needing to upgrade their brakes can afford a stoptech kit or other BBK

:/

Search "Porsche Big Reds" for another option.

Seems like he got scared after seeing a Miata hit a wall, his engine blew up, some guy from Australia said it would be a hassle (he was probably right), and curaco's abandoned the project. So close, yet so far.

I just did a search because I remembered seeing the thread title, and had a feeling that's the one Skeeg may have seen too. I own an FD, live 30 min from Laguna Seca, and have about a million better things to spend my money on than a 2000 dollar set of front brakes.

In that same thread was someone mentioning that the Wilwood calipers need rebuilding every year. I hope that's not the case with the kit you posted, Skeeg. Again, I'm no expert, just repeating what I read. Good luck!
