Don't give bad advice to people, especially when you have no first hand experience. Super Glue will eventually bake and flake off.

You can re-tap it and JBweld a new fitting on. (the search button is your friend )

I was successful in using superglue. I didn't bother drilling a bore and setting the nipple in, instead I just put the pieces together as they were with a minimum of glue. Once it was tacked in place, I ran a fine bead around the outer seam to seal it off. You don't want glue getting into the solenoid.

I just did a quick google that suggests the temp limit for cyanoacrylates is 180F. So looking back it would have been good to find something with a higher temperature range (JB Weld?)

It appreas that you broke the plastic nipple off, which happens to these things as they age. Do not attempt to glue or otherwise. Go thru the used parts section and find a good used one ( low mileage ). Also check with Ray at MAlloy MAzda and maybe buy a new one. His number is 1-888-533-3400.

I'd give you one but I gave them all away already

Most of them have colored dots. Check the parts list to figure out precisely which ones are interchangeable with the others.

Those bulb-shaped things are filters on the end of the solenoid. If it's one of the back 3 solenoids I'd leave it broken since air will still get into the system fine. Or get a piece of foam, slit a little hole about halfway deep into it, and zip-tie it over the broken end to replace the filter.

If it's one of the turbo, precontrol, charge relief, or charge control solenoids, then I'd replace it and just buy new. $50 from Malloy.

I also would recommend against superglue. I used it on a check valve and it didn't last very long. Eventually I replaced the valve....

For you solenoid I would drill it out like in the thread posted here

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...olenoid+repair

As for something stronger. I am using JB Weld as a BOP for the last 2 years on the side of my UIM where hole was for bar that held the butterflies in place. Holding strong at 16psi and no probs....I think I may actually use a real BOP soon as I want to increase boost and don't want it to be the weak link.

Solenoids along with actuators are not something you usually want to buy from a dealership -- not even Malloy. MSRP on an actuator is ~$400, with solenoids being ~$90/each(iirc). Either JBweld it or purchase a used one from the forum.

Solenoids are $50-56/ea at www.mazdapartscheap.com and a little less from Malloy.

Actuators are sinfully expensive, but fortunately they are more durable and available used. The TCA is around $500.

That sucks. I broke a nipple off a boost solenoid when I was re-routing my lines for a MBC but good thing I didn't need it any more.
