.8 bar and your car is otherwise stock?

If so, why in the hell did you buy a BOV?

If that is true, please do some searches and learn before you spend any more money.

The amount of BOV threads really show the mindset of the majority of the people using this forum. It's a shame really.

You may have developed a boost leak around the hose connection(s).?? Or,, the HKS is leaking boost.??

Maybe you need to tighten the screw on the bov? Who knows because that really isn't enough information to help us help you.

You screwed something up when you put in the BOV. It should not lower your boost at all if it is working right. Check to be sure that it is remaining CLOSED unless you shift. If it opens when you start making boost, it will leak out boost pressure and your car will make less boost and also feel slower. Depending on how much stuff you ripped apart, and exactly WHAT you installed where... it might be that something is connected wrong or backwards or to the wrong thing.

As long as you installed it correctly you shouldn't be losing any boost. It's also unlikely that the BOV would leak as I think I remember reading that the HKS is a pull type valve instead a push type (which is more common).

I once had an idle problem that I traced to the vacuum hose that connected to the BOV, but it didn't have any effect on boost. Just double check everything...

Wait wait, it's vented to the atmosphere right? Cus that makes a huge difference in power. Hell, venting the stock BOV will give you like 15 rwhp at least.

Seriously now, it shouldn't affect anything unless you installed it wrong. But if you were having massive boost spikes, then not having those might make your car feel slower.
