Boosting 5 psi and then...

and then it feels like the fuel is being cut to the engine. I just installed my apexi N1 catback and N-tech hi-flow cat so I thought I would take her out for a spin. Well I let it warm up properly and then I started to get on it. Boost would jump to 5 and the car felt a sudden decrease in speed as if I slamed on the brakes. Once I let off the gas it would pop a few times and then start running fine again. Other mods include a m2 downpipe, pettit ecu, and other relability mods. What could the problem be? Do I need to get a better fuel pump asap? Hhhmmmm... Any help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like something that happened to me, once. All I had to do was reset the ECU, but I did that because I had been working on the engine and I turned the ignition on to prime the fuel system. Nothing was connected and so the ECU had a bunch of error codes in it. I cleared it and everything came out ok.
