Boost problems, take a look at this

hi

when taking the turbo off this is what i found and i thought i had a leaking pipe somewhere.

Now there is some good old cracks, from the intense heat of the rotary engine, on the stock turbo manifold for ya.

hahahha...damn not the wifey dude....don't worry that's happened to about 95% of us, I was trying to diagnose a boost problem about 2 years ago and went through all the vacuum lines and it ended up being my ******* manifold, this type of headache is the reason why I went single...

The cracks are normal. Extensive cracking in this case, yes, but if the turbos were functioning they can continue. It does appear though that one crack might be leaking exhaust past the gasket.

What problems are you troubleshooting.

I agree.. the one crack extending beyond the gasket's coverage area had to be causing a leak..What kind of use were your turbos seeing?

i have not had the car long so dont know what was done before, but it had a modded ecu , bleed valve and induction and i think it has been ported

im just on with doing some mods and its about a month awy from finished as i work away from home during the week, body kit and single turbo,coilovers,brakes, colour change ect.

what porting stage would you class that as, it looks like the exhaust ports are standard
