QC boost problem (leak)

Hi guys,

My engine has 3000miles so i started putting some boost on it.

My setup is ;
stock rebuild
Power FC tuned to 14psi
DP
Hi-flow cat
Greddy SP CB
Fighters garage intake
PFS intercooler
Apex'i AVC-R
Greddy Type RS BOV

My problem is on the first gears i get 10psi on primary turbo but when it reachs 5000rpm+, the boost is dropping to .59 BAR.

The boost on my pfc and avc-r is ajusted to .70 BAR which is 10psi.
On 3rd gear, the boost goes to .75 Bar.

What could cause this problem? My engine was rebuilded last summer and runs smoothly with a -470 vacuum on idle and AFR is fine on WOT (10.9-11.2).

So on the first gears, it gets lower boost then on the higher gears... Sounds like a leak?

If someone can help me, it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Max

Could be a leak, could also be a problem with the secondary turbo control system. Both will cause similar problems.

I have the same issue. I have a feeling its to do with the secondary turbo's system. I've found that I get barely any boost from the second one when it comes in if I step on it (whistling too), but if I hit say 6000 RPM and let it drop back down to around 4500, and then step on it again, the secondary comes in just fine (boosts to my stock 10psi). I'm gonna get them swapped out for '99 spec ones soon but you should look into that secondary turbo.
