Boost leak tester??

Saw this on an Audi site and was wondering if anyone ever fab'd anything like this for FD's to check for leaks...

I always used water mixed with a little bit of soap. Used a tooth brush to brush it on suspected areas. If it bubbles, I got a leak. Never seen anyone do this tho.

never tried this but heard about it.

cover your intakes with a towel, while smoking a cigarette rev your engine from the engine bay. exhale smoke on suspected areas while reving under boost.

seems like it would find a good starting point for the search.
