? on rotary engine hp increases

Hi guys new to forum. Interested in 3rd gen rx7's and have a few questions.
1'st I know there isn't much to a rotary engine but is there any way to increase hp within the engine. Iknow turbos, headers, and exhaust parts help increase hp but what about the engine it self. Also can performance chips work?
Any comments or tech advice appreciated on my quest to find and have an ultimate rx7

thanks Jim

You need to read the sticky threads and do a search. The car can be modified to make plenty of power without changing anything about the engine itself. If you want to, you can enlarge the ports on it but that is all i know of. That tends to make the car less streetable. Half the threads here are related to your question so read up.

From: Shaw AFB, SC finally close to home!!! yeah!
There isn't really anything specific that you should concentrate on! It's just A LOT of little things that you need. First off, you'll need the basics... dpipe, mpipe, exhaust, ECU, fuel, intercooler, etc! There are so many things that I could type, but your best bet is to search! Once you get the basic mods, you can upgrade your turbos or go single etc! Good luck and welcome to the rx7 family!

That's not what he ment. He was thinking maybe upgraded rotors and suck. Not bolt on's. Yes performance chips work.
