Boost leak

Hey guys I have a stock FD that recently developed a pretty good boost leak.

Here are the symptoms:
Under partial throttle I dont feel or hear much leak.
Under WOT less than 4500 rpmI have a MAJOR leak that is followed by a strong "fuel vapor" smell inside the cabin. Once the tranisition happens at 4500rpm the leak doesnt seem as severe.

Any ideas which line to look at?

TIA

I'd start with all the piping from the intake to the intercooler and elbow. Remove each one to make a meaningful inspection. Also check each line leading from the y-pipe to the CRV and ABV (blow off valves).

If that shows as all clean, then check the small vacuum lines leading from the CRV to the solenoids and the CCA to the solenoids.

no need for ls1, make a single turbo conversion, if it starts giving problems at 4500, im thinking it might be the 2nd turbo giving the leak as it starts to spool

If you saw his version of an V8 FD you'd understand. It's impressive.

Generally, boost problems only below 4500rpm come from the charge control valve that separates primary and secondary flow.
Check out the troubleshooting for it at
http://www.autosportracetech.com/RX-...leshooting.htm

It's about 1/4 way down the page.
